Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Quantity Surveying is required.
• The candidate must hold an active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Experience and Technical Background

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, including at least 2 years within Saudi Arabia.
• Hands-on knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) is essential.
• The applicant should be fully familiar with technical requirements and regulations issued by supervisory and regulatory authorities.
• Prior experience is needed in preliminary feasibility studies, accurate quantity take-off, and pricing items based on current market rates in the western region.

Technical and Personal Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is expected.
• Advanced-level skills in MS Excel are necessary.
• Experience using quantity surveying and engineering measurement software is required.
• The role involves reviewing Makkah Municipality plans and checking them against quantities actually executed on site.
• Strong attention to detail is needed to identify drawing errors before execution and reduce financial waste.

Preferred Profile

Preference will be given to Arabic-speaking candidates with prior experience in the western region.
