G4S Secure Solutions Ireland is hiring a Security Officer for its Clonmel, County Tipperary location. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a varied and active working environment where you will help protect client premises, assets, and people.
Pay and hours
The base rate for this role is €15.41 per hour. Additional earnings include a Sunday premium of €3.44 per hour, an unsociable hours payment of €20.00 for each shift worked, overtime paid at 1.5 times the standard rate after 96 hours in a fortnight, and bank holiday pay at double time when worked. The role is contracted for 36 hours per week. Working time runs Monday to Sunday, with shifts typically covering 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am, or otherwise according to the roster.

You will be part of a security team responsible for maintaining a safe environment across different sites. The job calls for a professional, alert, and customer-focused person who can respond confidently to routine duties as well as unexpected incidents. Key duties
- Patrol the site to help safeguard the premises, staff, and visitors.
- Keep watch over CCTV and access control systems, and act promptly if risks are identified.

- Provide helpful and courteous customer service while staying security-minded at all times.
- Record incidents accurately and report suspicious activity as it happens.
- Work with emergency services when required to resolve incidents efficiently.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in a data centre environment, along with prior security experience in Ireland. A valid PSA Security Guarding licence is required. Screening and vetting will involve 5 years of verifiable employment and personal activity.
