Role Summary

The Shipping Clerk, referred to here as the Yard Coordinator, is in charge of documenting materials placed on loads. The position keeps staging and loading records accurate so deliveries run smoothly and operational standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Record each layer of material staged during the loading process with accuracy.
• Track material type, quantity, and placement details for every order.
• Confirm that the staged items align with the shop order.
• Check materials for damage or mismatches before and during staging.
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements while working in the yard.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; extra training in logistics or supply chain management is considered an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in yard coordination, logistics, or a related position, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Prior familiarity with steel building materials is strongly preferred.
• Strong precision and organizational ability are essential.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills are needed.
• Comfort working outdoors in changing weather conditions is required.
