Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Jeddah for a Shopify Developer. The person in this role will build, enhance, and support Shopify websites and applications, develop tailored themes, improve site speed and overall performance, connect external applications and APIs, and resolve technical issues as they arise. The role also involves partnering with teams across the business to align design, functionality, and user experience within the Shopify environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Shopify stores, features, and related web applications.
• Create custom themes and adapt Shopify Liquid templates to match business needs.
• Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles to deliver polished web experiences.
• Connect third-party applications, APIs, and payment solutions to Shopify implementations.
• Improve website performance and support a smooth customer journey.
• Diagnose, debug, test, and fix technical issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with designers, marketers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Shopify development, including custom theme development and Liquid customization.
• Practical experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Experience linking external APIs, apps, and payment gateways with Shopify.
• Understanding of e-commerce best practices, especially around usability and conversion optimization.
• Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and testing abilities.
• Comfort using version control tools such as Git.
• Good collaboration skills for working with design and marketing teams.
• Effective communication and time-management skills.
• Prior exposure to e-commerce or retail-oriented development is an advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related discipline is preferred.
