Role Overview

Theory is looking for an experienced Studio & Digital Operations Manager to support the Theory and Helmut Lang Marketing teams. This position oversees studio coordination, digital production workflows, asset handling, schedules, budgets, and cross-functional communication for e-commerce and internal shoots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all studio operations for e-commerce and internal shoots, including scheduling, resource planning, and production support for photo, video, and digital content.
  • Process, print, and arrange e-commerce imagery for style-outs.
  • Maintain studio calendars, production timelines, and deliverable tracking so seasonal and business goals stay aligned.
  • Communicate pre-production and post-production schedules and approvals with internal teams and outside partners such as photographers, videographers, stylists, and freelancers.
  • Track budgets, reconcile invoices, and control costs for all e-commerce and internal shoots through internal tools such as Coupa, including work across NuOrder, Wholesale Ecom, Outlet, and GPR.
  • Work with legal teams on agency contracts related to applicable shoots.
  • Manage digital asset workflows, including asset organization, transfer processes, and e-commerce imagery in Global Edit and SharePoint.
  • Provide support for pre-production and post-production tasks on off-site shoots when needed.
  • Create and maintain consistent workflows, documentation, and tracking tools for studio and digital operations using Asana and other systems.
  • Support sample organization and sample trafficking for shoot preparation.
  • Serve as the main contact for the studio.
  • Oversee day-to-day studio upkeep, including laundry, cyc paint, cleaning, and ordering equipment and supplies.
  • Review seasonal SKU counts and determine how many shoot days are required for each season or project.
  • Support the producer with seasonal castings and manage castings conducted in the studio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 or more years in a similar position.
  • Proven ability to manage complex production schedules and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of digital content workflows, production stages, and asset management.
  • Comfortable working on Mac systems.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving, deadline-heavy environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Prior budget management experience is required.
  • Video production experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Capture One is a plus.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite role based in New York, NY.

Compensation for this position is in the range of $105,000 to $115,000 annually. The exact offer may depend on experience, education, certifications, skills, expertise, and location.
