The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Surveyor or Survey Technician to become part of a high-performing surveying group based in Wellington. The team works across major infrastructure, construction, land development, geodetic, 3D modelling, topographic and cadastral assignments. As part of a large nationwide network operating across seven regions, the role sits within a business that delivers work throughout Aotearoa, Australia, the Pacific and South-East Asia.

With a strong workload in Wellington, you will take responsibility for survey projects either independently or alongside others, with a focus on delivering accurate results on schedule and within budget.

Current and recent projects include important cadastral and land development work in Wellington and across the Pacific. Depending on your interests and experience, you may deepen your expertise or expand it across topographic, cadastral and set-out surveying, making use of tools such as 3D scanning, UAVs and point cloud modelling.

About you

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of surveying experience. Practical exposure to GNSS, robotic total stations, laser scanners and drones is preferred, along with familiarity with software including 12d, Civil 3D/CAD, LandOnline, Leica Infinity, 3DR and Register360.

You should have a strong base in survey project delivery and be comfortable working on your own for some tasks, including assignments that require travel across New Zealand and the Pacific. A willingness to build capability, share knowledge and learn from experienced professionals locally and across the wider network is important.
