Technical Consultant

Role overview

DXC Technology is looking for a Technical Consultant to support software development activities and contribute to technical problem-solving within a collaborative team environment. The role is based in Dubai and follows an on-site working model that emphasizes in-person teamwork while allowing some flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, and different work styles.

What you will do

• Help build software solutions by coding, testing, and debugging.
• Work closely with teammates and take guidance from senior colleagues to achieve project objectives.
• Take part in training and mentoring opportunities to develop your skills in software engineering.
• Assist in identifying and fixing technical issues under the supervision of experienced engineers.
• Help prepare and maintain software requirements and specification documents.
• Support the investigation and resolution of production issues with senior team support.
• Keep up with new technologies and current best practices, and look for ways to continue learning professionally.
• Share knowledge with the team and contribute to a culture of learning.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Usually 3 or more years of relevant industry experience, including at least 1 year in a similar position.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages and software development methodologies.
• Fundamental coding and debugging ability.
• A willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience.

Additional qualifications

• A higher degree in a related field is considered an advantage.
• Professional certifications or training are also beneficial.
