About the role

This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States. Applicants should live within a practical commuting distance of one of the company’s facilities in Moonachie, NJ; Dayton, OH; Arlington, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Miami, FL.

The Training & Development Manager will own the learning and development roadmap that supports business growth, stronger leadership, better operational performance, and improved employee results. You will work with leaders across the organization to understand training needs, spot skill gaps, build scalable learning solutions, and strengthen a culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability. This is a strategic role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving leadership capability, and designing learning experiences that benefit both employees and the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and roll out a learning and development strategy that supports company goals and operational priorities.
  • Work with leaders throughout the business to identify training needs, address performance gaps, and support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Build and deliver learning programs in instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced formats for onboarding, leadership, compliance, operations, and professional development.
  • Develop polished training assets such as presentations, SOPs, job aids, assessments, and e-learning content.
  • Track the impact of training using feedback, assessments, operational results, and performance data, then use those insights to improve programs.
  • Improve onboarding programs so new hires become productive, engaged, and more likely to stay.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Safety, and department leaders to keep training standards and processes consistent across the organization.
  • Maintain learning platforms, training documentation, and compliance records.
  • Support organizational development and change management efforts through clear communication and effective training delivery.
  • Design scalable learning models and standardized training processes for multiple locations.
  • When needed, guide and develop Training & Development team members through coaching, performance support, and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organizational Development, or Talent Development.
  • Hands-on experience leading learning and development initiatives, including programs focused on leadership and employee growth.
  • Background in manufacturing, production, distribution, or another fast-paced operational setting is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, instructional design, and adult learning methods.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
