Role overview
Huel is hiring a Junior Creative Strategist for its US market, with a focus on paid social creative strategy. The company operates in a high-performance environment and is looking for someone who is early in their creative strategy career, understands what makes social creative effective, and can grow quickly while contributing to a fast-moving team.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, content creation, creator management, and performance analysis. You will help shape the US creative roadmap, support acquisition efforts on paid social, and turn insights into briefs and test plans that drive better results.
What you'll do
You will own the execution of US creative strategy by developing concepts, hooks, angles, and a weekly testing roadmap. You will work through the full brief-to-analysis cycle to support new customer acquisition on paid social.
The role also involves hands-on content production. You may script and film UGC-style ads, build social creative in Canva, and edit raw footage. Comfort being behind, or even in front of, a camera is important.
You will manage creator outreach across the UK and US, serving as the primary contact for performance content creators and maintaining those relationships over time. You will also partner with agency teams to exchange ideas, sharpen briefs, and identify when to scale concepts that are already performing well.
Another key part of the role is translating global creative direction into clear, actionable briefs for the in-house team. You will monitor performance across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, review metrics such as CPA, CTR, CVR, CPM, and hook rate, and use those findings to guide the next round of testing. Staying on top of US consumer trends, competitor creative, and platform changes will also be part of your day-to-day work.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of experience in a creative, marketing, or content-focused role, although especially strong candidates with less experience may still be considered.
You should have a solid understanding of creative strategy and how audience insight connects to performance. Strong brief-writing ability is essential, along with sharp copywriting skills for hooks, scripts, and headlines tailored to social platforms.
Hands-on familiarity with what is currently working on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube is important, as is an understanding of how creative metrics influence decision-making. You should be well organised, able to manage several briefs and markets at once, and confident producing content using tools like Canva or similar software. Experience with UGC-style content is helpful but not required.
Perks and benefits
The role comes with a competitive salary of $80,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. The working setup is hybrid, with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and the option to work from home on the other two days.
Benefits include 30 paid vacation days plus federal holidays, free Huel, two weeks each year to work remotely from anywhere, a 401(k) plan, commuter benefits, paid volunteering days, enhanced family leave, a dog-friendly workplace, monthly gym membership contribution, a personal nutrition plan, free 1-on-1 therapy through BetterHelp, private medical and health insurance including free life insurance, a paid employee referral scheme, and biannual celebration events.
Culture and values
Huel describes its environment as ambitious, fast-paced, and highly collaborative. The company values people who think differently, push boundaries, set big goals, and thrive through teamwork. Diversity of background and perspective is treated as a strength, and the organisation aims to build an inclusive workplace where every team member can contribute and be heard.
Additional information
Applicants are encouraged to review Huel’s values before applying to make sure the working environment is a good fit. The company also notes that exceptional effort is expected and meaningful rewards are offered in return. The role is based in Brooklyn, NY, with the hybrid office schedule described above.
Huel offers a global, impact-driven workplace where individuality, fairness, and belonging are emphasised as core principles.
