Role overview
This remote contract position is for a Video Annotation Expert who will work on short video clips and label recurring events with careful timing and written notes. The work is open to applicants based in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Compensation and commitment
The assignment pays between $65 and $80 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week.
What you will do
- Detect repeated events in short video clips and separate them according to the project rules.
- Mark the exact beginning and ending time for every event you find.
- Write brief, consistent, and easy-to-understand descriptions for each labeled event.
- Keep every submission aligned with the required quality and consistency benchmarks.
- Work with teammates or project leads through written and spoken communication to clear up questions and remove uncertainty.
- Check your own work carefully and update annotations whenever project guidance changes.
Required background
- Near-native English fluency in both speaking and writing is necessary for accurate annotation and collaboration.
- Prior work in video annotation, moderation, writing, video editing, videography, or a similar field is expected.
- You should be highly detail-oriented and focused on producing precise labeling results.
- Ability to understand detailed instructions and respond quickly to feedback is important.
- Experience with AI training work or machine-learning data annotation would be an added advantage.
