Video Editor

Role overview

This is a contract video editing role based remotely in the United States. The work is expected to span 10 to 40 hours each week, and compensation is listed at $6 to $65 per hour.

Core work

• Assess, improve, and polish animation and visual effects outputs that help train AI systems for storytelling, robotics, and learning-focused content.
• Keep project folders, media files, and labels well structured so dataset building, annotation tasks, and team collaboration run smoothly.
• Review AI-produced material, apply stakeholder input, and make sure the final output meets quality expectations, factual standards, and project goals.
• Create evaluation rubrics, review frameworks, and curated media collections to train and benchmark AI models used for video, animation, and instructional media.
• Use subject-matter knowledge to strengthen model performance by spotting weak areas, unusual cases, and opportunities to improve visual and narrative generation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teammates in a remote setup and provide clear written and spoken feedback that supports ongoing model improvement.

Requirements

• Solid hands-on background in video editing and post-production, including audio editing and visual storytelling.
• Experience with animation and visual effects for digital or educational projects.
• Strong detail orientation, good organizational habits, and the ability to juggle several tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to accept critique and turn feedback into improved work.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline plus substantial experience in video or visual media production.
• Prior success working in remote, collaborative teams.
