Role overview

The Ardilaun Hotel is looking for a seasonal Accommodation Assistant for the summer season on a fixed-term basis from June to September 2026. This position plays a key part in keeping the property’s cleanliness, comfort, and guest experience at the standard expected across the hotel.

Originally a country mansion, The 4-star Ardilaun Hotel offers 123 premium bedrooms along with a conference centre, wedding venue, and leisure club. The hotel is independently owned and managed by the Ryan family, and it recently marked 64 years in business. Set in a quiet residential area in leafy Taylor’s Hill, it is about 1 km from Galway City, Galway Bay, and Salthill. On site, guests can enjoy the Camilaun Restaurant, the Garden Terrace with outdoor canopy dining, Blazers Bar, The Ardilaun Bistro, and spacious Garden Lounges for afternoon tea. The hotel’s aim is to deliver memorable experiences and consistently go beyond guest expectations.

Main duties

• Prepare and service guest rooms to a consistently excellent standard.
• Keep bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared areas clean and hygienic.
• Gather, deliver, and restock clean linen and towels throughout the property.
• Remove soiled linen and return it to the laundry area.
• Work closely with the team and maintain strong attention to detail in all tasks.
• Carry out duties in line with the highest safety and security standards.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service at all times.
• Follow daily work schedules and complete tasks independently when needed.
