Role overview
This position is focused on growing revenue and improving profitability by building strong relationships with clients, including senior stakeholders. The role also involves shaping and carrying out strategic account plans that are aligned with global, regional, and local sales and marketing priorities.
Core responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of the account management process and ensure responsibilities are delivered through to completion.
- Maintain the account plan in SFDC, share it with relevant stakeholders, and coordinate resources and activities needed to achieve annual targets.
- Promote consistent and effective use of technology platforms such as SFDC and XAIT-Porter.
- Lead the development and response process for tenders, making sure the right resources are in place to deliver strong submissions.
- Work with technical sales to manage proposal budgets and address technical requirements with the client.
- Partner with technical sales and the Sales VP/Director on negotiations and contract extensions, keep SFDC current, and involve legal support when needed for drafting.
- Collect and share market intelligence, including customer feedback.
- Create and implement strategic plans that reinforce the company’s market identity by aligning customer and industry needs with core capabilities.
- Monitor business risks and help ensure suitable mitigation strategies are in place.
- After tender results are announced, arrange a debrief for a loss or inform key stakeholders of a win, while updating SFDC accordingly.
- Organize and lead contract handover meetings with stakeholders and prepare a contract summary sheet.
Qualifications and experience
The role calls for 8 years of industry experience, with at least 4 years in sales. A technical background, ideally with an international service provider, would be an advantage. Prior exposure to completions, interventions, and TRS work is preferred.
Skills needed
You should be commercially strong, comfortable working with tenders, contracts, negotiations, profitability goals, and high standards of customer service. Strong client relationship skills, sound business judgement, and the ability to evaluate opportunities and prioritize effectively are important. The role also requires clear verbal and written communication, teamwork, resilience under pressure, and the ability to manage several projects to tight deadlines. Familiarity with modern sales management practices is also valuable.
