Role overview

As an Associate Event Producer, you will support the Executive Producer and Project Manager across all production stages to help deliver high-quality live experiences. You will act as a key production-side contact across projects and coordinate the third parties involved in bringing creative deliverables to life.

You will also help research and support the adoption of new production formats, technologies, and solutions that can improve future events. The job calls for flexibility, creativity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver on deadlines without losing sight of budget control.

The ideal candidate has experience in live event production and experiential marketing, works well in fast-moving environments, and brings strong communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.

This is an office-based position in Auckland, with in-office attendance expected from Monday to Thursday and the option to work from home on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee event production from planning through on-site delivery and post-event closeout.
• Build production schedules and keep internal teams aligned with key timelines.
• Work closely with Project Managers and on-site teams to coordinate concert execution.
• Look for ways to improve production efficiency and reduce costs where possible.
• Track third-party quotations, invoices, and P&L updates carefully.
• Arrange the required event permits and ensure insurance obligations are met.
• Research and book suitable venues.
• Handle administrative tasks such as expense reporting, invoicing, and contract coordination with legal teams.
• Be prepared for domestic and international travel and collaboration across time zones when required.

Candidate profile

You should bring a background of successfully delivering events, along with strong analytical ability and excellent spoken and written communication. You will be expected to thrive in a busy, ambiguous environment and combine a flexible, detail-focused, and analytical approach with a genuine interest in the entertainment and events space.

The role blends operational delivery with business development thinking. You should be comfortable working with partners, brands, agencies, and talent, and be able to think strategically using event briefs and proprietary data to shape strong experiences. A collaborative attitude and a willingness to get involved in hands-on work are important.

Additional requirements and working style

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in event production.
• Fluent or native-level English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to manage several projects at once in a structured and efficient way.
• Comfort with finding innovative production solutions and approaching problems with a resolution-first mindset.
• Strong network of vendors and venues.
• Understanding of technical production needs.
• Basic familiarity with fabrication processes and permitting procedures.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and workflows.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Curious, collaborative, and open to testing new ideas.
• Knowledge of promotional platforms such as Facebook and Instagram is a plus.
