Role overview
This position sits within RBC’s Industrials investment banking franchise and supports corporate and private equity clients across the sector. The role covers advisory and financing work, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and leveraged finance.
The role is primarily office-based in London, with limited flexibility to work remotely for up to one day per week depending on the agreed working arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Support the origination, marketing, and execution of M&A, equity, and financing transactions focused on Industrials clients.
- Collaborate closely with local and international teams that cover the sector.
- Help build and deepen client relationships with corporates and private equity firms, while contributing to revenue generation.
- Identify operational risks and control gaps in the business and raise them proactively.
- Follow internal policies and procedures relevant to the role and its activities.
- Escalate any operational loss events, control weaknesses, or other risks promptly to your manager and the appropriate risk and control teams; failing to do so may lead to disciplinary action, including termination.
What the employer is looking for

- FCA registration and approval as an approved person.
- Prior experience in investment banking or corporate M&A.
- Strong understanding of investment banking products and the ability to adapt them to varied client needs.
- Good judgement, especially around valuation, supported by solid research and analytical capability.
- Preferred: experience in Industrials, particularly the Capital Goods subsector.

This is a regular, salaried full-time role based at 100 Bishopsgate, London, United Kingdom. The standard working pattern is 35 hours per week.
