Role Overview
The organization is looking for a BS/MD Admissions Consultant with direct admissions committee experience and a solid command of BS/MD, direct medical, and highly competitive undergraduate admissions. This opportunity is especially suited to physicians who enjoy mentoring and guiding ambitious students through medical-focused admissions pathways. It is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract position open to candidates anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Support prospective BS/MD and direct medical program applicants through each stage of the admissions journey, including program selection, application planning, essay development, resumes, recommendation strategy, deadlines, and interview preparation.
- Assist students in improving academic and extracurricular profiles while helping them produce strong application materials.
- Help applicants research and compare BS/MD, pre-med, and undergraduate programs that fit their goals and interests.
- Review and refine personal statements, supplemental essays, and interview responses while preserving the student’s authentic voice.
- Coordinate project planning, timeline management, and progress monitoring using internal organizational tools.
- Remain current on BS/MD, direct medical, pre-med, and undergraduate admissions developments to provide informed and timely guidance.
Qualifications
- An MD or DO degree is mandatory.
- Previous experience serving on an admissions committee at either the undergraduate or medical school level.
- Background in mentoring high school students, ideally through academic advising or college application support.
- Working knowledge of BS/MD, direct medical, and pre-med admissions, including school choice, application strategy, and interview coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to guide students through highly selective undergraduate admissions processes.
- Strong planning and coordination abilities with the capacity to manage multiple students and deadlines at once.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

This is a 1099 contract role. The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States or Canada.
