Building Services Worker (Fleet)

About the Role

The City of Dothan is seeking a part-time Building Services Worker to handle custodial care and routine maintenance for Fleet Division facilities in Dothan, Alabama.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $15.43 to $24.66.

What You’ll Do

This position supports the cleanliness, upkeep, and general maintenance of the Fleet Division’s buildings and workspaces.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have completed standard high school or earned a GED recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). A minimum of one year of recent related experience is required.

Prior experience of six months in a custodial or maintenance-related role is preferred.

Special Requirements

A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.

All selected candidates may be subject to background screening, including checks of criminal history, credit history, prior employment, and references.

Employees must comply with the City of Dothan’s drug and alcohol testing policy, which includes pre-employment screening as well as random testing throughout employment.

Applicants must also meet the City’s employment physical standards, including drug and alcohol testing.

Selection Process

Candidates will be evaluated entirely on the basis of their training and experience as reflected in the application; this accounts for 100% of the final score.
