About the Role
Lyft’s mission is to connect and serve people by building a workplace where every team member feels included and has room to grow. This position is a practical leadership role at the heart of day-to-day talent acquisition operations. You will oversee the coordination team, define what strong scheduling execution looks like, guide team members through difficult situations, and work with cross-functional TA partners to smooth out the candidate experience.
The position is split roughly evenly between people leadership and hands-on scheduling/workstream contribution. The ideal candidate leads by example, is confident using the tools and systems directly, cares deeply about team growth, and is always looking for ways to make the process better.
Responsibilities
- Set scheduling service expectations and ensure the team meets them for turnaround times, ticket handling, and interview confirmations while creating a workflow that can be maintained over time.
- Identify process breakdowns before they escalate, use data to support decisions, and continuously look for ways to simplify, automate, or eliminate manual work. When an improvement is identified, carry it through implementation.
- Coach and develop individual contributors by onboarding new hires, spotting capability gaps, and delivering clear, actionable feedback on an ongoing basis.
- Help the team adapt to new tools and ways of working by modeling curiosity and encouraging a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Gather feedback proactively, find where scheduling or communication is negatively affecting candidates, and lead changes that improve both the human and structural sides of the process.
- Work deeply with scheduling platforms, coordination workflows, data accuracy practices, and automation tools to mentor others, assess performance, and drive improvements.
- Contribute to broader TA workstreams and process-improvement efforts that support team objectives and organization-wide goals.
- Build strong working relationships with TA leaders and hiring teams to support efficient candidate logistics, effective interviewing practices, and strong candidate representation for Lyft.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in recruitment coordination or talent acquisition operations, including some exposure to leading or mentoring others.
- Strong practical knowledge of scheduling systems and coordination tools, with careful attention to data quality.
- Experience improving processes or introducing automation in ways that create measurable operational gains.
- Comfort using metrics to identify issues and assess potential solutions.
- Ability to give feedback that is specific, constructive, and delivered thoughtfully.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and reliability on core tasks.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to build trust with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates, along with a strong follow-through mindset.
Perks and Benefits
- Choice of extended health and dental coverage, plus life insurance and disability coverage.
- Mental health support benefits.
- Benefits to support family building.
- Child care and pet-related benefits.
- Access to a Lyft-funded Health Care Savings Account.
- RRSP plan with company matching.
- Flexible paid time off for salaried employees, in addition to provincial public holidays, with manager approval for time off as needed.
- Hourly employees receive 15 days of paid time off, plus one additional day for each year of service.
- 18 weeks of paid parental leave top-up for biological, adoptive, and foster parents.
- Subsidized commuter benefits and Lyft ride credits.
- Hybrid roles can work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
