About the Role

Multimatic is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join their team in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This full-time, onsite position involves maintaining a clean and safe working environment across various facility areas, including production floors, washrooms, and common spaces. The role requires a proactive individual with at least one year of forklift experience and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of facility floors and ensure washrooms are consistently stocked with necessary supplies like toilet paper, seat protectors, paper towels, and soap.
• Perform regular checks, at least three times per shift, to replenish restroom amenities.
• Wipe down all stainless steel surfaces and verify that sinks are not obstructed.
• Manage and replenish sanitary supplies as needed.
• Update a supply checklist daily to track inventory.
• Collect and dispose of garbage and cardboard from the plant floor.
• Clean kitchen appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, and microwaves, as well as sinks in lunchrooms.
• Undertake snow removal duties for entrances and employee access points as required.
• Perform general yard maintenance tasks.
• Operate wood and cardboard compactors as necessary.
• Remove scrap metal from beneath conveyors on a weekly basis.
• Empty waste trays in the designated scrap room.
• Operate a drivable floor cleaner daily in all assigned locations.
• Assist with equipment relocation projects.
• Clean the compressor's receiver tanks.
• Maintain the cleanliness of garage doors.
• Perform dusting throughout the facility as needed.
• Clean interior windows on a monthly basis.
• Collect and dispose of used gloves and rags from around the building.
• Ensure the floor sweeper is well-maintained and conduct daily checks to confirm its optimal performance.

Basic Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience operating a forklift.
• Experience with Aerial Work Platforms is considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Information

This is an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation for this position is anticipated to range between $20.50 and $30.59 per hour.
