Role Summary

The Community Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day performance of the property across financial, administrative, sales, marketing, and maintenance functions. Responsibilities

  • Ensure purchase order processes, expense tracking, approvals, and other financial systems follow BH policy.
  • Make sure payables and purchase orders are processed accurately and on time.
  • Review vendor statement balances, including balance forwards.
  • Analyze monthly income and expense reports and explain any budget variances.
  • Handle collection and documentation of revenues in line with lease obligations and ownership policies on receivables.
  • Collect delinquent accounts quickly in accordance with BH policy.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operating reports, including petty cash, variance, leasing, renewal, and financial reports.
  • Hire, train, supervise, develop, and mentor property staff in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance reviews and corrective action when needed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of property management experience overseeing up to 299 units in a single community.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related computer technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel by car or plane about 20% of the time.
  • High school diploma or GED is required; some college is preferred.
