About the Company
Origin is creating an endpoint AI observability platform designed for organizations adopting AI at the device level. The company’s mission is to make AI usage safer and more productive by giving teams clear visibility into how agentic systems and people are getting work done. Its platform is used to monitor and protect major organizations and is supported by investors including Sequoia Capital, Brightmind Ventures, IA Ventures, and others.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance, this role will help strengthen and scale the finance function as the company moves from basic accounting into a more mature, scalable operating model. The position covers the full accounting cycle, supports audit readiness, and delivers the financial reporting needed for the company’s next stage of growth. It is a hands-on role that combines day-to-day accounting ownership with the development of systems and processes for global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of daily accounting operations, including records for foreign subsidiaries such as Canada and Israel, multi-currency consolidation, and local tax compliance.
- Work with the People Ops team to support smooth payroll processing for international contractors and EOR employees.
- Drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process and ensure financial statements are prepared in line with GAAP.
- Build and deliver monthly flash reporting and board-ready finance packages covering KPIs, burn rate, and runway.
- Support the company’s first external audit and help prepare the organization for it.
- Handle domestic and cross-border tax obligations, including VAT, GST, and R&D tax credits, while coordinating with outside tax specialists where needed.
- Review, select, and manage ERP and other finance-related systems.
- Create and strengthen internal controls that reduce risk while preserving startup agility.
- Improve AP/AR, payroll, and expense workflows through automation.
- Track daily cash positions and support treasury optimization.
- Collaborate with department leaders to review budget versus actual performance and provide spending checks.
Experience and Background
- At least 4 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a fast-growing startup environment.
- An active CPA license is required.
- A Big 4 accounting background is considered a strong advantage.
- Advanced ability with Excel or Google Sheets, plus familiarity with global payment platforms and mid-market ERP systems.

Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
- Exposure to tools such as Rippling, Carta, Ramp, or QuickBooks.
- Experience supporting a successful Series B or Series C fundraising process for a software business.

Compensation
