Role overview
Tesco is looking for Customer Delivery Drivers to join the team and be the first point of contact for customers. The job is practical, active and varied, with no two shifts looking exactly the same. Drivers often work independently while out on the road, but back at base they have support from managers and colleagues whenever needed.
Shift patterns are varied.
What you'll do
- Deliver a strong home-shopping experience by keeping the customer at the centre of every task.
- Load the van when needed and make sure the vehicle is roadworthy before setting off.
- Follow the assigned route and work to the planned schedule.
- Represent the business well by wearing the correct uniform and being ready to assist customers.
- Drive carefully, responsibly and in line with legal requirements.
- Be considerate and respectful to everyone on the road.
- Welcome customers warmly, including greeting them by name where possible.
- Handle deliveries with the same care you would give your own belongings.
What the employer is looking for
- A full Irish or EU driving licence, manual or automatic, held for at least 2 years.
- No more than 3 penalty points on the licence.

Recruitment and compliance notes
All offers are conditional on Garda vetting. At assessment stage, proof of current penalty points on your driving licence must be provided. This can be obtained from the National Driver Licence Services by calling 1890 41 61 41, pressing option 4, and quoting your driver number.
Applications cannot be accepted from anyone who has been disqualified from driving within the last 10 years.
If successful, you must provide your bank account details before your agreed start date.
