About the company
Supagas is a national supplier growing quickly, known for delivering LPG, industrial gases, hospitality gases, and helium. The business has built its reputation on strong growth, product quality, and a customer service approach summed up by its “YES WE CAN” attitude.
About the role
Supagas is hiring Cylinder Delivery Drivers to support its LPG depot in Kwinana Beach. In this hands-on role, you’ll deliver and collect gas cylinders for commercial and residential customers across multiple suburbs in metro and regional areas. The position suits an energetic person who enjoys outdoor work and a physically active environment, as it includes regular manual handling of cylinders in different sizes. Full training will be provided to help you work safely and efficiently.
The job offers a varied schedule that includes early morning starts, a smaller number of early afternoon shifts, and occasional weekend work during peak seasonal periods.
Key duties
- Load and transport bulk and single gas cylinders for delivery.
- Keep assigned vehicles in safe, clean, and roadworthy condition by carrying out daily walkaround inspections, pre-start checks, and defect reporting.
- Operate vehicles ranging from 8 to 12 tonne rigid trucks.
- Complete delivery documentation and other required records, including using handheld scanner systems to record deliveries and track stock.
- Follow safety procedures closely, with strong attention to road safety, traffic awareness, and patience on the road.
- Report hazards, safety issues, near misses, incidents, and accidents promptly.
- Manage time well and work efficiently across the day.
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner during deliveries.
Experience and skills required
You should hold a valid MR, HR, or MC licence. The role also suits someone who can work independently, solve problems on the road, manage fatigue responsibly, and handle minor mechanical issues when needed. Flexibility for variable hours and weekend work is also important.
What’s offered
- Participation in a rewards and recognition program with a driver incentive scheme linked to cylinder delivery numbers and safety performance.
- Weekly pay.
- Permanent full-time employment.
- Long-term job stability.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program.
- A team culture with a strong family and community feel.
- Ongoing learning, development, and career growth opportunities.
- Employee referral rewards through the national referral program.
- Access to a wide range of employee benefits and initiatives across 1,700 brands, institutions, and companies, available to you and your immediate family through an app 24/7.
