This position focuses on precise accounting, settlement, and valuation of equity securities across multiple portfolios. Key responsibilities
Equity settlement: Ensure timely and correct equity settlement for accounting purposes, including STP-based settlement, custody and broker confirmations, and coordination with equity brokers, dealers, and custody teams for trade closure. This also includes margin payable calculations and providing equity cash flow inputs for cash flow projections.
Accounting and valuation: Support accounting and valuation of the equity portfolio across funds to enable NAV release. Responsibilities include creating equity and broker masters, recording equity trades accurately and on time, carrying out MTM valuation across fund groups, and tracking as well as accounting for corporate actions.
Debt valuation checks: Perform daily review of debt valuation and debt accounting across all funds to help ensure accuracy in the NAVs released.
MIS and reporting: Prepare management MIS and financial reports for review, regulatory reporting, and audit support. This includes reports aligned with IRDA, Schedule VI, and IFRS, along with daily, monthly, and yearly MIS, reconciliation of to-be-received policies, and ad hoc investment MIS requested by IRDA, Actuary, Front Office, Taxation, Planning, or management.
Audit coordination: Work closely with statutory, internal, and concurrent auditors, along with other stakeholder teams, to ensure audit inputs and financial data are completed accurately and within deadlines.
