KiwiPlates works in partnership with the New Zealand Transport Agency to market and sell personalised number plates across New Zealand. The business aims to bring more happiness to the road by helping people express their individuality.

Role Overview
This position is for a Digital Designer who will take full responsibility for the digital design function and help shape the customer experience across multiple digital channels. You will work closely with the Digital Project Manager, developers, and leadership to guide projects from the first idea through to launch.
The role is broad and hands-on, covering website design, UX and UI enhancements, EDM creation, digital campaign assets, and improvements to the customer journey.
What You’ll Do
- Create compelling digital experiences across websites, social channels, and email campaigns that support engagement and conversion.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure design output supports business goals and improves the customer journey.
- Build wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that clearly communicate user experience and interface ideas.
- Set up and uphold consistent design standards so digital assets remain scalable and aligned.
- Lead the design workflow end to end, from concept development through implementation, with a strong on-brand outcome.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3–4+ years of experience in digital design, UX/UI design, or a closely related role.
- A portfolio that shows strong digital design capability, customer-centric thinking, and UX/UI work.
- Background in designing for eCommerce, online retail, or similarly digital-first customer experiences.
- Confidence using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and current design tools.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, UX principles, and best-practice digital design.
- Experience producing EDMs and other digital marketing creative.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability, commercial awareness, and careful attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, plus the ability to collaborate well with others.
