What you will do

  • Create preliminary design layouts, fixture plans, and design details for internal review and client presentations
  • Develop final fixture plans, décor drawings, and both standard and site-specific design details for new store builds, expansions, and renovations
  • Prepare and assemble hard-copy and digital drawing packages for permits, tenders, approvals, and construction
  • Produce sample boards and presentation boards for different project needs
  • Oversee the technical library and product sample inventory
  • Maintain the electronic filing system for active and archived drawing files
  • Carry out other assigned duties as needed
  • Ensure all work aligns with company policies, internal procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Visit local stores and project sites when required to understand existing conditions, constraints, and opportunities

What you need

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or a comparable post-secondary program
  • At least 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in retail design
  • Ability to handle several projects at once and meet deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with management, vendors, and external organizations
  • Self-driven, well organized, and able to manage time effectively
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; basic SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High standards for quality and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of applicable Ontario Building Code requirements and regulations
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence
