Role overview
MSR-FSR, LLC is hiring an Electrical Commissioning Technician to support electrical commissioning work on project sites in Dresden, Saxony, Germany.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out commissioning activities for electrical equipment and system installations, including high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems such as LSS, I&C, and power distribution/generation.
- Prepare, review, and complete project documentation, testing procedures, and related test records.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, office teams, engineering personnel, consultants, and client representatives to keep project work moving smoothly.
- Act as the company representative in project meetings and strategy discussions.
- Perform electrical walk-downs and verify installations against drawings, P&IDs, specifications, submittals, and system prerequisites, while recording deficiencies, errors, and corrective actions through field reports and punch lists.
- Prepare and execute startup checks in the field, ensuring all startup documents are properly completed and signed off.
- Confirm that equipment and overall system OAT/FAT activities meet project expectations.
- Review OAT documentation and perform FATs on behalf of the customer.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of verifiable electrical experience at journeyman level.
- Five to ten years of relevant construction-industry experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment such as transformers, substations, and switchgear.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, NETA, and OSHA.
