Engagement Manager

About the role

This role sits within the Community Services area and is focused on building strong connections that help students gain valuable workplace experience. As Engagement Manager, you will work across Queensland to cultivate relationships with community organisations and industry partners, with the goal of securing high-quality placements that support student learning and strengthen the organisation’s external network.

Based at the Brisbane campus in Fortitude Valley, the position follows a hybrid working model and involves regular travel to partner sites, community agencies, and placement providers around the CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Build and sustain productive working relationships with community services organisations and other industry stakeholders.
• Source, negotiate, and confirm suitable placement opportunities for students.
• Serve as a reliable contact for placement providers and support ongoing partnership development.
• Coordinate closely with academic teams to make sure placement options meet course needs and student expectations.
• Guide students through the placement process and help ensure a positive placement experience.
• Collect partner feedback and use it to improve student preparedness and placement results.
• Tackle placement-related issues proactively and work with others to reach constructive solutions.
• Keep stakeholder and placement records accurate and up to date for planning purposes.
• Support strategic placement planning as student numbers continue to grow.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time position based onsite in Fortitude Valley with a hybrid arrangement. The role requires regular visits to external partner locations in and around Brisbane’s CBD.
