Role overview
Join a growing organisation in the energy and infrastructure space as a Financial Analyst, supporting a portfolio of sizeable projects. The business operates in a capital-intensive setting and offers broad exposure to project execution, commercial decisions, and interaction with senior leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders to deliver financial insight, test assumptions, and inform decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and the creation of business cases, including scenario modelling and cost assessment.
- Compile and examine monthly management accounts, with variance analysis and clear commentary on results.
- Help maintain robust financial controls and support audit, compliance, and governance activities across the portfolio.
- Support financial planning, cash flow forecasting, and the continual improvement of finance processes.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with around 1 year of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience in finance business partnering or another commercially oriented finance role.
- Exposure to a capital-intensive sector such as energy, infrastructure, construction, or property.
- Strong background in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work with and challenge non-finance stakeholders.
