About the Role

Mantra Parramatta sits in the Parramatta CBD and brings a stylish accommodation offering to Sydney’s west. The property features more than 180 studio and one-bedroom apartments, a Social House dining and bar area, three conference rooms, a gym and a pool, and it serves government, corporate, group and leisure travellers.

In this role, you will act as the go-to person for maintenance across the property. The position calls for someone who can handle repairs, improvements and preventative upkeep, while also identifying potential issues early so they do not become larger problems. Your work will help keep the property safe, functional and well presented at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the upkeep of guest rooms, shared areas and all on-site facilities so they remain in strong working order and present well.
• Carry out maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
• Work closely with team members while also being comfortable completing tasks on your own.
• Approach day-to-day maintenance challenges with practical, creative solutions.

Skills and Experience

• You should be physically capable, proactive and committed to finishing work safely and to a high standard.
• Hands-on experience in general property or building maintenance is important, including basic carpentry, plumbing or electrical tasks; formal qualifications are not required.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and confident communication with managers, guests and contractors are essential.
• You must be willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
