Intern, Process Improvement & Operation Efficiency

Role overview

This internship offers the chance to support operational improvement work at Marina Bay Sands, collaborating with experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on making day-to-day processes more efficient, improving how resources and inventory are managed, and supporting data-backed operational decisions.

Process analysis and improvement

• Review existing operational workflows to spot delays, bottlenecks, and other areas where performance can be improved.
• Apply continuous-improvement methods such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and similar approaches to increase efficiency.

Resource optimization

• Support monitoring of resource usage through data to help ensure assets and manpower are used effectively.
• Help implement practical resource-management methods that lower waste and improve productivity.

Inventory management

• Track inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock and avoid overstocking.
• Assist with inventory control practices that improve accuracy and reduce mismatches.
• Take part in periodic inventory checks and audits.

Data analysis and reporting

• Gather and arrange operational data to assess the impact of process changes.
• Prepare reports and presentation materials on operational results and improvement initiatives.

Compliance and quality assurance

• Help ensure operational activities follow applicable laws, regulations, and industry requirements.
• Support quality-control efforts that maintain strong operational standards.

Eligibility and requirements

The applicant must be a full-time matriculated student, and the internship must count toward school graduation requirements. No prior work experience is needed because training will be provided. Candidates should have a strong interest in project management, process improvement, and operational efficiency, along with solid analytical and problem-solving ability. Familiarity with data-analysis tools and project management software is expected, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role also requires the ability to work independently.
