Role overview
This permanent full-time position is part of the Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) program and is based remotely from home across Western Canada. PCVRS supports Canadian Veterans who face barriers to returning to civilian life because of service-related injury or illness through comprehensive rehabilitation assessments and interventions. The work is delivered by an interdisciplinary clinical team experienced in complex conditions such as chronic pain, ongoing symptoms after head injury, musculoskeletal injuries, and cases where mental illness and psychosocial challenges affect recovery.
The Job Developer plays a key role in building and sustaining strong connections with employers and community organizations. The goal is to create trusted partnerships that help promote the hiring of Veterans, while also supporting participants in achieving their employment objectives. In this role, you will use your knowledge of regional labour markets to improve outcomes for Veterans at both the individual and community level.
Key accountabilities

- Partner with job development colleagues across different regions to maintain employer relationships that operate nationally or across multiple regions.
- Track participant job search activity and provide coaching, guidance, and practical support to help prevent or resolve issues during the search process.
- Represent the organization at employer forums and promote the value of hiring Veterans, along with the advantages of partnering with PCVRS.
- Stay informed about employment trends in the assigned region and coordinate with RSS to align participants with suitable opportunities.
- Design and roll out improvements to strengthen the job development workflow.
- Spot and introduce new ideas that can enhance the participant experience and outcomes within the job development process.
Qualifications and experience

- Strong understanding of labour market conditions in the assigned area.
- High digital fluency with case management platforms, MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, internet tools, social media, and LinkedIn.
- Proven ability to collaborate, build new relationships, establish trust, and work with varied stakeholders toward shared goals.
- Willingness to work outside standard PCVRS business hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm when needed to support communication with employers and participants.
