Mechanical System Design Engineer

Role Overview

This position focuses on the design and development of marine equipment and related systems. The role calls for strong mechanical design knowledge, practical engineering judgment, and the ability to work across concept creation, modelling, analysis, and detailing.

Core Technical Focus

The engineer should be comfortable working with mechanical systems and their components, including machine design, strength of materials, manufacturing methods, kinematics and dynamics, vibrations, mechanism design, concept development, CAD modelling, and finite element analysis.

A solid grasp of engineering fundamentals is expected, along with an understanding of electro-mechanical systems and drive calculations.

Preferred Experience

Experience in new product development is preferred, whether gained through on-the-job exposure or on-site work. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, CAD modelling, and detailed drafting using Unigraphics (UG-NX) will be an advantage.

Tools and Software

The candidate should be proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
