Role Overview

The MEP Planning Engineer will oversee end-to-end delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, ensuring the work is planned, coordinated, and executed in line with project requirements, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full MEP project cycle, beginning with design review and procurement and continuing through installation to final handover.
• Prepare MEP budgets, monitor installation-related expenditures, and keep the MEP schedule aligned with the overall construction programme.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and civil teams, using tools such as AutoCAD and Revit to identify and resolve coordination clashes.
• Carry out regular site checks to confirm adherence to local building regulations, sustainability expectations, and HSE standards.
• Manage testing and commissioning activities for mechanical and electrical systems so they perform reliably at full operational capacity.
• Conduct coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and trade contractors to clear technical issues and move RFIs and approvals forward.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing MEP scopes on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, relevant building codes, and planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Good problem-solving ability, negotiation skills, and the capacity to lead teams effectively.
