Network Operations Engineer

Role overview

Movate Technologies is hiring a Network Security Engineer focused on cloud networking and Palo Alto technologies. This role calls for practical experience in enterprise networking, cloud environments, and security operations, with responsibility for keeping network services reliable, secure, and well documented.

What you will do

• Plan, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure across both cloud and datacenter environments.
• Support and resolve issues in cloud networking platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Work with BGP, VPNs, IPv4/IPv6, VXLAN, VLANs, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching setups.
• Monitor network health, manage incidents, investigate failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including policy rules, security zones, NAT, and threat prevention capabilities.
• Use Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management.
• Configure and troubleshoot GlobalProtect VPN for secure remote connectivity.
• Apply network security standards and align work with internal security policies.
• Coordinate with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams during rollout and optimization activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational runbooks.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on knowledge of at least one cloud networking platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Strong networking fundamentals with emphasis on Layer 2 activities and routing.
• Practical experience with BGP, VPN technologies, IPv4/IPv6, VXLAN, and L2/L3 switching.
• Experience working with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect VPN.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and security issues in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Good incident handling, analytical thinking, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional technical teams.

Additional information

The offered salary range is INR 6,00,000 to 15,00,000 per year.

This position is based in Bengaluru, India.
