Nursery Support Staff

Overview

A childcare agency is looking for dependable and enthusiastic nursery support staff to take on placements across Southampton and nearby areas. The role is suitable for candidates with prior nursery experience, including those who are unqualified, as well as applicants holding Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualifications.

In this position, you will support nursery rooms and work closely with room leaders and wider nursery teams to help deliver safe, nurturing, and educational care for children aged 3 months to 4 years.

Pay Rates

• Unqualified nursery staff: £13.50 per hour
• NVQ Level 2 qualified: £14.00 per hour
• NVQ Level 3 qualified: £15.00 per hour

Working Arrangements

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Shifts can be arranged flexibly, allowing you to choose days and hours that fit your schedule.

Requirements

• A UK-recognised childcare or nursery qualification for qualified roles

• An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or readiness to complete a new DBS check
• A reliable, professional, and positive approach
