Role overview

San Diego FC is hiring a part-time Operations Assistant to join the Academy Staff and support the day-to-day logistics for Right to Dream San Diego. This position reports to the Academy Business Manager and helps keep academy operations organized, coordinated, and running smoothly.

What you'll do

  • Organize and carry out travel arrangements for teams, staff, trialists, current student-athletes, and their families.
  • Help monitor budgets and track spending against planned figures.
  • Manage communication and visitor coordination for the Performance Center.
  • Handle scheduling and cross-team coordination among key academy stakeholders.
  • Assist the Head of Academy with executive support tasks, including calendar management, correspondence, and travel planning.
  • Support the planning and delivery of academy events such as home matches, scouting events, and other activities.
  • Supervise the SDFC Street Team and other part-time workers.

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of business operations, financial management, recordkeeping, and related software tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience handling team operations, travel logistics, and budget management.
  • Prior experience in professional sports, a university athletics department, or a sports club is relevant and valued.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
  • Spanish/English bilingual ability is a plus, and additional language skills are also beneficial.
