Role overview

The team is looking for a Perception Test Technician to support an automotive client in County Galway. This role involves contributing to live testing and replay testing activities, including data reprocessing across in-loop perception test benches. You will help track and share progress and outcomes with the broader perception testing team and other stakeholders.

The position also includes support for perception performance analysis, false event identification, bench stability, and testing within the vehicle fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the execution of software testing tasks that are heavily data-driven.
• Keep data inputs accurate and up to date within reprocessing pipelines.
• Support the operation of data reprocessing workflows, from test start-up through to KPI reporting.
• Take part in vehicle-based testing by driving fleet vehicles and capturing data during open-loop and closed-loop testing.
• Flash ECUs with the correct software for use in vehicle and in-loop reprocessing tests.
• Escalate performance issues through ticketing systems and direct communication with relevant colleagues and teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in automotive systems, ADAS validation, or another highly regulated environment.
• A strong continuous-improvement mindset.
• Creative thinking and a high level of innovation.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven technical leadership across several projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Full driving licence held for at least 2 years.
