Role Summary
Tyger is hiring a Privacy Analyst to help manage and carry out federal privacy compliance work for a government client’s systems and programs. The position focuses on end-to-end privacy documentation, data mapping, and compliance reporting aligned with federal privacy laws, OMB guidance, and agency policy.
Employment Details
This is a full-time role based in a hybrid U.S.-based work arrangement. An active DoD Secret clearance is required, and the role reports to the Program Manager / Government Privacy Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full privacy compliance documentation process for federal systems.
- Prepare and maintain Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and System of Records Notices (SORNs).
- Create and update system data inventories and data flow maps.
- Review system architecture and business workflows to spot privacy-related risks.
- Deliver accurate privacy records and legally suitable reports within required deadlines.
- Work with system owners, ISSOs, legal counsel, and program teams to confirm privacy needs.
- Assist with privacy audits, assessments, and internal compliance reviews.
- Keep documentation and recommendations aligned with federal privacy statutes, OMB requirements, and agency privacy rules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience supporting or managing privacy programs in a federal setting.
- Practical experience drafting PTAs, PIAs, and SORNs.
- Experience building data maps and privacy compliance materials under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical ability, written communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Desired Background
- Exposure to FISMA-moderate systems and federal technology environments.
- Prior collaboration with cybersecurity and RMF teams.
- Working knowledge of federal privacy governance and reporting processes.
Security Requirement
An active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory for this role.
Compensation
The expected salary range is $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
