Processing Officer

Role overview

This role sits within the Palmerston North operations team and supports parcel and freight processing for delivery across New Zealand. The position is on-call, meaning shifts are offered when needed to cover absences, extended leave, and busy trading periods. The job involves sorting, consolidating, and dispatching items at the Manawatū operations centre so courier runs can proceed smoothly.

Shift pattern and pay

• Pay is $26.75 per hour starting 1 July 2026, plus a night allowance until 6:00am.
• Cover is required between Sunday and Friday, from 10:00pm to 6:30am, as needed.
• This is an on-call arrangement, so hours will vary depending on operational demand.

What the work involves

The role helps keep parcel movement flowing by working as part of a busy, collaborative team. Processing Officers play a hands-on part in preparing freight for courier delivery and contribute to the wider goal of supporting the country’s delivery network.
