About the opportunity
This temporary assignment is suited to someone with project coordination experience, or a closely related background, who is confident communicating across teams and helping improve ways of working for a government-sector client. The role is based in Wellington CBD, starts as soon as possible, and runs until early December.
Key responsibilities
- Support communications planning and help improve the flow of work across the team.
- Coordinate content for both internal and external communication channels.
- Collect, track, and respond to feedback that supports process improvements or the creation of new tools and workflows.
- Use project management systems to monitor progress, track tasks, and maintain accountability.
- Provide day-to-day administration such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, organising catering, arranging travel, and recording meeting minutes.
What you’ll need
- A proactive, can-do approach and the ability to work well in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Solid project coordination experience; background in engagement or communications is an advantage.
- Strong organisational ability and comfort juggling several workstreams at once.
- Capability to simplify processes and lift operational efficiency.
- The ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships.
- A collaborative mindset, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using MS Planner, Excel, Power BI, and reporting dashboards.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to turn information into clear, concise updates and outputs.
