Overview
ADB SAFEGATE is looking for a Project Manager to lead airfield-related projects in demanding and varied settings. The position calls for someone with a strong background in delivering complex initiatives on time, maintaining strict quality and safety standards, and adapting easily to remote project locations and frequent travel needs.
What you will do
- Direct the full lifecycle of airfield systems projects, from planning through execution and final handover, while keeping delivery aligned with business objectives and client expectations.
- Guide and coordinate cross-functional teams made up of engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to keep project goals on track.
- Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, and resource plans to support efficient project delivery.
- Spot project risks early and put practical mitigation measures in place.
- Make sure all work follows applicable local and international standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Share clear progress updates, issue logs, and outcome reports with senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
What the role calls for
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or another relevant field.
- At least 12 years of project management experience, particularly in airfield systems, aviation infrastructure, or a similar environment.
- Solid knowledge of airfield systems such as lighting, navigation, communication, and safety-related systems.
- Comfort using project management tools and software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and adjust to difficult working conditions.
- Arabic language skills are considered a strong plus.
- Readiness to work from remote project sites for long stretches when needed.
- Willingness to travel often, including on short notice, depending on project demands.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make sound decisions in fast-changing situations.
