Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead the full lifecycle delivery of major roads and infrastructure works, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and utility networks, across the Northern Emirates. The role focuses on delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from mobilization through to final handover, including civil structures such as bridges and tunnels, earthworks, and both wet and dry utility systems.
- Manage project timelines, manpower, equipment, and financial plans to keep costs under control and support profitability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, while coordinating approvals and no-objection certificates from local authorities.
- Drive compliance with quality assurance, quality control, health, safety, and environmental requirements across all project stages.
- Identify technical and commercial risks early and escalate clear progress updates and reporting to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, with a Master’s degree considered an advantage. Candidates should bring 12 to 15+ years of experience in civil construction, including more than 5 years in a Project Manager role on large infrastructure developments.
Hands-on UAE infrastructure experience is mandatory, and background in Sharjah or the Northern Emirates will be a strong advantage. The ideal candidate will have delivered projects involving bridges, tunnels, and large utility networks.
PMP certification is preferred, and a valid UAE driving license is required.
Skills & Competencies
The role calls for strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams. A solid understanding of UAE construction legislation, local regulations, FIDIC contracts, and claims handling is essential. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD is also expected.
