Role Overview

This role is responsible for leading all operational initiatives for the Local Shops vertical. The project manager will identify and prioritise the most important opportunities across global, regional, and local stakeholders, then plan and deliver initiatives that improve operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthen operational performance for the Local Shops area to support a smooth ordering journey.
• Put the right tracking and reporting systems in place so business impact can be measured accurately and reviewed regularly.
• Partner closely with logistics, product, customer experience, and other teams to improve the overall value proposition.
• Manage operational projects from start to finish, including planning, cadence, cost, expected impact, cross-functional coordination, and change adoption.
• Identify and rank key issues and opportunities across mature and developing markets, with a focus on improvements and automation.
• Run experiments to test ideas and validate whether larger investments are justified.
• Support product launches by working with product teams on experimentation, go-to-market, and launch execution, alongside the Operations Manager to ensure proper procedures are in place.
• Work with market heads to define and size quarterly business issues and opportunities.
• Develop strong working relationships with regional and central teams to help shape the roadmap for vendor fulfilment, inventory management, product, and logistics.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in e-commerce or a food-tech / technology-driven business.
• Proven background working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfort working with data, data structures, and data infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of process design, including building procedures, frameworks, and ways of working.
• Strong analytical capability and confidence using different data sources.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate well with senior stakeholders across functions.
• Ability to facilitate workshops, define problems, brainstorm solutions, and turn outcomes into a prioritised roadmap.
• Highly focused on objectives and able to demonstrate value in a persuasive way that secures team support.
• Ability to present complex issues clearly, backed by data, including the problem, root cause, impact, proposed solution, and resolution path.
