About the role
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join its Group Business Services (GBS) team in Dubai. This position sits within a high-performing function that supports the bank’s growth, innovation, and digital transformation while maintaining strong quality and risk standards. Key responsibilities
- Lead assigned group or sub-group projects by defining the work plan, setting milestones, and coordinating delivery teams to achieve successful implementation.
- Track project advancement closely and take corrective steps whenever needed to keep delivery aligned with budget and deadlines.
- Work with internal stakeholders on vendor sourcing and RFP issuance, identify pre-approved internal vendors where relevant, and oversee vendor performance, responsiveness, and quality to meet project goals and budget targets.
- Maintain complete project files and documentation so that internal standards are met and audit readiness is preserved.
- Run project meetings, share progress updates with stakeholders, surface risks and issues, and influence actions that improve project value, schedule adherence, and cost control.
- Build project budgets and monitor actual performance against them to ensure financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate profile
The role calls for a professional with substantial experience in financial services and the ability to independently manage finance-related initiatives, particularly card projects. Strong project delivery skills, vendor coordination ability, and a solid understanding of banking operations are essential.
Experience and knowledge required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, including independent ownership of finance-related projects, especially cards projects.
- PMP or Scrum/Agile certification.
- Project management capability.
- Knowledge of cards and payments.
- Vendor management experience.
- Understanding of banking products, services, and operations.
- Core banking knowledge.
- Business relationship management skills.
- Awareness of finance quality control.
- Understanding of operational risk.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems.
