Role Overview
The Quality Invigilator position is suited to someone who is careful, reliable, and comfortable overseeing live online examinations. The role focuses on making sure every test session runs correctly, securely, and in line with ETS procedures. You will check candidate identity, maintain exam standards, observe for any unusual activity, and handle issues with professionalism and accuracy. Your work directly supports assessment integrity and a fair experience for every test taker.
This is a rotational-shift position within a 24/7 operation. A one-way cab facility is provided for travel during off-hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee live online test sessions and help maintain exam integrity.
- Confirm candidate identity and ensure eligibility as well as environment requirements are met.
- Give candidates clear guidance before the exam starts.
- Identify, document, and escalate any suspicious actions or breaches of rules.
- Support test takers with straightforward technical troubleshooting during the exam.
- Follow ETS expectations for professionalism, fairness, and conduct at all times.
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observation ability.
- High integrity, neutrality, and an unbiased approach.
- Basic computer skills, including hardware setup and driver verification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience and concentration for extended monitoring periods.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain exam rules clearly.
- Fast and accurate typing for incident logging.
- Fluent English communication in both spoken and written form.
- Good interpersonal skills and practical troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness to work changing shifts, including nights and weekends.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in online proctoring or in a non-voice BPO environment.
