Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Vision Built, part of the Sisk Group, is an offsite construction specialist focused on delivering modular and panelised building solutions to a high standard. In this position, you will work closely with a highly experienced commercial team to help deliver a successful project, support strong client and stakeholder relationships, improve commercial performance, and help manage risk across the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead tender preparation, assess and appoint suitable subcontractors, negotiate and close subcontract orders, and manage subcontract commercial matters through to final account.
• Track and report forecasts, targets, reconciliations, valuations, variations, site records, and document control activities, while supporting accurate project record-keeping.
• Work with the site management team, challenging and influencing commercially where needed, while protecting the company’s contractual and commercial position.
• Oversee Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, review and approve their work, and take responsibility for SMM and measurement-related matters.

Experience and Qualifications

• Demonstrable background working as a Quantity Surveyor on residential or commercial construction projects.
• Hands-on experience with report preparation, forecasting, planning, and communication with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• A relevant third-level qualification.
