Role overview
This opportunity is for a Recruiter supporting a client in Toronto, Ontario. It is a 12-month contract role with a hybrid working arrangement in the Greater Toronto Area.
What you will do
You will own full-cycle recruitment across a designated portfolio, helping shape hiring decisions through market knowledge, recruiting expertise, and strong partnership with hiring managers and business stakeholders.
- Run intake discussions with hiring managers and clarify role needs.
- Create and manage requisitions and coordinate the interview process.
- Conduct interviews, schedule final interviews with managers, and support hiring events.
- Manage background checks and extend offers.
- Build and maintain pipelines through proactive sourcing and project-based initiatives.
- Act as a talent advisor by bringing insight on market trends, talent gaps, and hiring options.
- Recommend sourcing strategies that improve access to both active and passive candidates.
- Support a positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring cycle.
- Work closely with HR partners, centres of excellence, and internal stakeholders to understand workforce needs.
- Track recruitment activity, analyze metrics, and prepare reporting to guide hiring efforts.
- Promote the employer brand through outreach, networking, advertising, and use of digital recruiting channels.
- Represent the organization in recruitment-related activities when required.
Required background and skills
The role needs someone with hands-on recruitment experience, especially in high-volume hiring environments. Strong communication, organization, reporting ability, and advanced Excel capability are important. Attention to detail is also essential.
Additional working context
A typical day includes full-cycle recruiting tasks, interviews, and hiring coordination. The role involves a mix of meetings and interview sessions, with about half the day often spent in meetings or interviews. Interaction is mainly with internal hiring managers. The contractor will not have access to customer data.
