Role overview
This position is for a Recruitment Coordinator with Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD). The role sits at Administration Officer Level 6 and is offered as a permanent or temporary opportunity, with full-time, part-time, and casual employment options available. The annual remuneration is $83,554.59 to $85,530.07, plus superannuation and, where applicable, 17.5% leave loading. Applications close on 15 July 2026.
The successful applicant may be based at an MLHD site anywhere across the District, with the final location negotiable.
About the role
The Recruitment Coordinator supports end-to-end hiring activity across an assigned portfolio, helping deliver efficient recruitment services for both hiring managers and candidates. Portfolios may include Nursing & Midwifery, Mental Health - Drug and Alcohol, Allied Health, and Corporate - Non-Clinical & Projects. This role works closely with stakeholders to ensure recruitment practices align with NSW Health policies, Awards, and legal requirements.
Key duties
- Manage the full recruitment process from advertising a vacancy through to the new starter’s commencement, while working within required timeframes.
- Offer prompt guidance to hiring managers and applicants, applying relevant policies, procedures, Awards, and legislation.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and support effective recruitment decisions.
- Keep recruitment documentation, records, reports, and candidate tracking systems accurate and current.
- Assist in updating recruitment procedures, policies, and training resources.
- Work with stakeholders to prepare compelling job advertisements and use advertising channels effectively to attract a strong and diverse candidate pool.
- Support onboarding by checking documentation and coordinating with other stakeholders to ensure a smooth experience for new hires.
- Track recruitment activity and raise any risks, delays, or issues with the Recruitment Business Partner.
- Encourage fair, inclusive, and equitable hiring practices throughout the recruitment cycle.
About you
The preferred candidate will have experience managing recruitment from advertisement through onboarding, ideally within a large and complex organisation. You will need a solid understanding of employment-related policies, procedures, Awards, and legislation, along with the ability to advise others clearly and confidently. Strong organisation, record-keeping, reporting, relationship-building, communication, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills are important, as is confidence using recruitment systems, HR platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Salary and conditions
The pay range for this role is $83,554.59 to $85,530.07 per year. In addition, superannuation is provided, and a 17.5% leave loading applies where eligible. The position is classified as Administration Officer Level 6. The advert notes that both permanent and temporary positions are available.
