Role overview

ARAI is hiring for its Automotive Electronics Department (AED) for the position of Research Engineer (Electronics-Digital Key). This is a contract role based in Kothrud, Pune, with 2 openings.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech degree in Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Applicants should bring the relevant technical background, knowledge, and experience required for the role.

Key technical expectations

• Working knowledge of automotive vehicles and their major components.
• Strong understanding of automotive electronics and in-vehicle electrical architecture.
• Awareness of automotive testing and certification workflows, including EMC and environmental testing.
• Familiarity with digital key and key fob architecture used in vehicles.
• Exposure to vehicle testing requirements as per AIS-076 Amendment-3.
• Understanding of threat and risk analysis in automotive systems.
• Working knowledge of standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO 26262.
• Ability to work with C, C++, MATLAB, and Python programming.

Experience

The role requires 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Contract terms

This is an ARAI contract position for 1 year. The engagement may be extended depending on the candidate's performance.
